The History of Bowne Street Community Church
邦恩街社区教会位于法拉盛邦恩街与罗斯福大道街角，前身为1842年成立的法拉盛归正荷兰教会。为回应会众增长，现存礼拜堂于1892年落成，采用罗曼复兴式设计：红砖立面、连续圆拱开窗与精致的砖雕、赤陶细部，街角钟塔构成清晰的城市地标。堂内彩色玻璃由本堂会友、蒂芙尼工作室重要设计师艾格尼丝·F·诺斯罗普构思并由蒂芙尼制作，纪念与象征主题保存完好。1925年东侧增建附楼，延续主堂材料与语汇，用于教育与社群事工。1974年，原归正会与第一公理会合并，定名“邦恩街社区教会”，同时隶属RCA与UCC。今日，本教会提供英语、普通话与台语（闽南语）礼拜，延续法拉盛多语多元的社区传统；其历史与艺术价值已获纽约市地标指定（2016/2017）。
At the corner of Bowne Street and Roosevelt Avenue, the Bowne Street Community Church traces its roots to the Reformed Dutch Church of Flushing (1842). The present sanctuary, completed in 1892, is Romanesque Revival in red brick, with a disciplined rhythm of round-arched openings and refined brick and terra-cotta detailing; its corner tower anchors the neighborhood skyline. Inside, a suite of stained-glass windows was conceived by church member and leading Tiffany Studios designer Agnes F. Northrop and fabricated by Tiffany—memorial and symbolic themes that remain remarkably intact. An eastern annex (1925) extended the same material and formal vocabulary for education and fellowship. In 1974, the Reformed and First Congregational congregations merged to form Bowne Street Community Church, jointly affiliated with the RCA and UCC. Today the church offers services in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese (Hokkien), continuing Flushing’s multilingual tradition. Its architectural and artistic significance has been recognized by New York City Landmark designation (2016/2017).
